GREEN…teal, emerald, jade, sea, forest, bottle, army, the colour of nature, magical, elegant and refined. Green is one of the more prominent colours featured across fashion and beauty on Spring 2013 runways and happily for all concerned green can flatter anybody, regardless of skin, hair tone and eye colour. Phew!

rose&bird were first in line to order the new pale pastel green Gelish polish ‘a mint of spring’  and now its time to experiment with eyeliner.  rose&bird is never shy when it comes to eyeliner… liquid, kohl, gel, cream, powder, slick, smudge, always framing and enhancing the eyes – what’s not to love? Don’t be scared to try out the latest make up trend with a pop of  blue/green coloured eye liner on the lower, upper or both lash lines. This is a trend that flatters most eye colours and is easy to create. rose&bird set out to find the most gorgeous, easy to use green liners…

Bobbie Browns award winning long-wear gel eyeliner in ‘ivy shimmer ink’ is a rich emerald green gel liner –  its’ neutral tone is a great way to wear green without being too bright. Simply draw a line on the upper lashes and finish with mascara . As with most Bobbie Brown products this liner is a great investment that will last.  rose&bird also loves Mac powerpoint eye pencil in ‘so there jade,’ a beautiful bright blue/green soft liner that really brightens up the eyes.  Finish the look with a brush of bronzer on the face such as  ‘laguna’ by Nars.  When using bright colours on the eyes keep the lips fairly neutral.  Mac and Armani have a wide range of nude lipsticks that last – rose&bird is constantly having to stock up on Mac  ‘Luxe natural’ and ‘creme d’ nude’ lip sticks. Happy lining people!
